You guys, I miss blogging.
That is all.

I'll have a slice.
I braved the wind and rain and had lunch with a fellow jewelry designer today. Then I ran some jewelry errands and popped my head into some gem stores. I came away with some pretty nice loot. Here's one idea:

14k goldfill, natural wood. $30.
I'll have these at the upcoming shows I'll be doing. They don't exactly fit quite right on the website so I haven't decided if I want to put them up there. They are so cute with the bark still on them, even the imperfect/cracked slices are just.. perfect. The "L" is done by hand with my woodburning tool. I think I'll have them in all different letters and maybe some symbols. A heart with an arrow in it. Or an acorn.

Progress: Custom Illustrations

Tonight was all about working on those fashion illustration orders. I love how the palette constantly changes while I paint. So pretty.

Prismera in Glamour Magazine
Dudes, my watercolor prints are in GLAMOUR this month. How exciting is that?!
It's the first time anything I've drawn has gotten print press so I'm super thrilled.

Halloween

How overdue is this post? I didn't do anything at all on Halloween except be at work, which happened to be in the West Village. When I got out at 7:30ish, the streets were flooded with people. My co-worker walked with me on the way out and it was like I was with a real celebrity; we were stopped every minute or so with hollers of "Hi Michael" and "Dance for us!" Which he did while everyone cheered and snapped photos (he is a musician so it was pretty great); everyone was happy. I got home way late and after being pressed up against strangers in the river of bodies that occupied 7th Ave, I had quite enough of this holiday. Maybe I'll feel more festive next year.

A brief recap of Nashville.

Steak and eggs at Boscos.

Boggle with Lars' brother and his new kitten, Stella.

Driving through beautiful small towns.

Antiquing in Lebanon.
We did use Design Sponge's Nashville guide and found some really nice spots that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nashville.

I'm off!

My last trip to Nashville in 2007.
How completely MIA have I been? I have had so many things to share with you but having a PT job and the business, I've been spread a little thin. Tomorrow I'm off to Nashville for a proper vacation, the one I meant to take in January. Better late than never? Photos to come!
Things on my radar:
Gorgeous grey slouchy bag.
Modern zip ankle boot.
Design Sponge's Nashville Guide.
what I'm listening to lately.
I love this tunic.
